TeraThink is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for our team engaged with a Federal Client in Gaithersburg, MD. As a member of the transformation team, you are responsible for working with the team under the direction of the project manager to define and elaborate on data management specifications and supporting the business case to maximize the value of their financial management systems while aligning to short and long-term enterprise strategic goals and objectives while increasing the data analysis efficiency within the enterprise. This involves defining the strategy and approach for the analysis effort, perform the analysis, including conducting stakeholder interviews, document the findings from the analysis, identify and document potential solutions for each finding, develop one or more strategic roadmaps outlining the approach by which the agency should implement one or more solutions, and create business case and/or governance board documentation as per NOAA executive stakeholder feedback to support the organization in the planning process.
What You’ll Do
In this role, the senior business analyst must have:
Has functional knowledge of federal management business processes and interpreting financial management data. Experience Interpreting business issues and recommended efficiencies and best practices. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Maps business requirements into specific financial management applications or interface functions for very large complex integration solutions and/or improves business process and data flow. Conduct interviews stakeholders, prepares briefing materials, and presents findings to the team and customers.
Things We Need to See:
6-9 years of experience with federal financial management business processes
Experience with planning and leading review sessions for requirements elicitation, analysis, verification, specification, validation, and prioritization.
Experience developing specifications, conducting assessments., Business Case studies and analysis experience
Must be organized and able to lead analysis activities
Proficiency in business and requirement analysis, communication, stakeholder analysis, presentations
Must be able to pass a background check to start employment
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Things We Would Like to See:
MBA or equivalent Masters in Finance, Accounting, or Business related credientials
Financial Management, CGFM, CPA certifications
Security+ other relevant Certifications
Strong Presentation and presentation material credentials.
